Go Lucy Go!
We don't know exactly who came up with the phrase, "Go Lucy Go!", but it caught on FAST! We all want to make sure that Lucy and her family know that we are here with them to help Lucy fight this disease all the way! And we are happy to announce that we are planning a 5K run/walk event to be held in Covington, TN (Lucy's hometown) on LeBonheur is the only comprehensive children’s hospital in this region and it cares for more than 130,000 children from across the nation each year. From classroom based programs to sophisticated lab research, state of the art equipment, some of the world’s most highly respected names in pediatrics are some of the things that make LeBonheur such a valuable resource. In addition, they turn no one away because of an inability to pay. The new LeBonheur hospital, which opened in December of 2010 is one of the most technologically-advanced children’s hospitals in the country. It is obvious that funding for a hospital such as this is a large issue.
Just like our friend Lucy and her family, LeBonheur is a worthy cause for this event.
